New faces on the bench with more in November
The last few weeks brought new faces to the bench in the Tri-Counties, with more to come.
In Ventura County, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger filled two vacancies on the Superior Court bench, appointing Kevin DeNoce and David Worley.
In the one seat up for election, Jeff Bennett defeated Robert Orellana for a spot on the Ventura County Superior Court bench, winning about 65 percent of the vote to Orellana’s 35 percent. There are still at least two more open seats in Ventura County.
The voting public doesn’t seem to find judicial races nearly as interesting as I do.
