Construction to begin on Route 154
On July 7, construction will begin on the operational and safety improvements on Route 154 from Santa Barbara north to the Route 246 intersection. A community kick-off ceremony will be held July 9th at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Ynez Valley Park & Ride Lot near the intersection of Routes 154 and 246.
The $5 million project is anticipated to take a year to complete and is fully funded by Measure D, Santa Barbara County’s half-cent transportation sales tax. Project construction will begin at Vista Point located west of the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge.
