Blowing over the competition – JetAir produces efficient techniques that woo big names
JetAir Technologies likes to let its engineering speak for itself.
Founded five years ago, the Ventura-based company engineers and produces industrial blowers and air knives that do everything from dry beer bottles to spread chemical coatings on catalytic converters. And though JetAir has just 11 employees, it’s landed household names such as General Motors, Budweiser and Coca-Cola as customers.
And if you ask Dan Snyder, the head of engineering and development for JetAir, the reason the small firm won over A-list customers is pretty simple. JetAir makes a better blower.
“We’re 15 percent more efficient than our direct competitors,” Snyder said. “Our competitors’ models were all developed in the 1950s, and they’ve pretty much been working with the same designs since then.”
