In search of safe haven
What do you do once you’ve conquered Wall Street as a member of some of the biggest investment firms in the business?
You start your own, of course.
At least that’s what Kristin Horton did. Last month, the investment sector veteran launched Haven Capital Group, a private, independent SEC-registered investment management firm headquartered in Santa Barbara. The firm is already managing a portion of the employee retirement funds for the University of California and MIT, and Horton expects to do business in 16 states.
