Funds for UCSB research
The University of California, Santa Barbara, announced that more than $36 million in federal stimulus dollars have allowed it to fund research projects ranging from computer science to biological imaging to the effects of ocean acidification.
Many of the grants are from the National Science Foundation, the National Institutes of Health and the Department of Energy. So far, the university has received 40 stimulus-funded grants for its research projects, and has 79 additional proposals are currently under review.
