Reagan library gets gift of $12.75M
The Simi Valley-based Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation said Feb. 6 that it has received a $12.75 million gift from the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation to fund renovations at the Regan Library and Museum’s exhibit galleries.
The gift is timed to coincide with Reagan’s 100th birth day in 2011. In the past, the Reynolds Foundation, named for a mid-20th century media entrepreneur who endowed it, donated $8.7 million to build the library’s Air Force One Discovery Center.
“This gift is such a wonderful 100th birthday present for Ronnie,” former first lady Nancy Reagan said in a release. “Thanks to exciting new technology, museum exhibits will tell Ronnie’s personal story — as well as the story of his impact on this country and the world — even better than before.”
