Teledyne buys Optimum Optical
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies will acquire a Camarillo company called Optimum Optical Systems, Teledyne announced June 7.
Optimum Optical makes custom lenses and optomechanical assemblies that are used primarily in tactical military imaging systems. The acquisition allows Teledyne to expand its business in infrared imaging systems, Teledyne said in a news release.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Teledyne said it will buy the company through a subsidiary called Teledyne Scientific & Imaging. Once the deal closes, Optimum Optical will change its name to Teledyne Optimum Optical Systems.
