Dynacorn muscles in: Classic car firm grows in Ventura County

IN THIS ARTICLE

Oxnard-based Dynacorn International is revving up for a move into bigger environs.

For the past 26 years, the company has supplied parts and even whole body shells for classic muscle cars, the big-block, deep-throated monsters that came out in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Later this year, Dynacorn will move from its 60,000-square-foot space in Oxnard to a 99,000-square-foot building in Camarillo, where it will have more roll-up loading docks and more room for its classic bodies.

Dynacorn sells its products nationally. “We do pretty much everything that is sheet metal,” said Jim Christina, vice president and general manager at the firm. That means everything from knobs, quarter-panels and doors to entire bodies, many of which were designed as one-piece affairs for early Chevrolet Camaros and Ford Mustangs. The company also has an East Coast warehouse.
