Diana Gleason has been named market president for Bank of America in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.

Most recently, Gleason was a regional sales executive for Bank of American Home Loans for Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties and West Los Angeles. She has been in the banking industry for nearly 40 years and joined Bank of America in 2004.

In her position as market president, she will also oversee Bank of America’s Merrill Lynch division.

“Our customers will benefit from Diana’s business experience and community relationships in the region,” Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan said in a press release. “As market president, Diana will continue to ensure that our customers, clients and communities are connected with the right resources to make their financial lives better.”

A third-generation Ventura resident, Gleason has been involved with the Oxnard Rescue Mission, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and New Directions through its Walk for Warriors program, the bank said.
