Cottage Health settles flesh-eating disease death lawsuit

The family of Carmen Alexander has reached an out-of-court settlement with Cottage Health. Alexander, 43, died at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara on Feb. 21, 2012 from a flesh-eating disease called necrotizing fasciitis.
