Emergency drinking water is being distributed in three different locations in south Santa Barbara County in response to the recent mudslides. Distribution will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day until further notice.
The distribution sites include the:
• Shopping center at the southwest corner of East Valley Road and San Ysidro Road in Upper Village.
• Montecito Fire Station at Cold Spring and Sycamore Canyon Road.
• Summerland Post Office at 2245 Lillie Ave.
Extensive damage has been done to Montecito’s water supply infrastructure and a boil water notice is still in effect for Montecito water district customers. Water in Santa Barbara, Carpinteria and all other communities is safe by state and federal standards.
