Mandatory evacuations ordered as storm approaches
Due to a strengthening weather system forecast to arrive early morning March 13, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a mandatory evacuation order for Extreme High Risk (red) areas along the southern Santa Barbara County coast.
High Risk (yellow) areas will be under a recommended evacuation warning, officials said. The mandatory evacuation order goes into effect at 8 p.m. March 12.
