Paso Robles hotel opens on site of former almond processing plant
Oxford Suites Paso Robles, a five-story hotel with 101 rooms, had a soft opening in Paso Robles at beginning of August and will officially open within the next month or two.
Parent company Oxford Corporate, a family-owned portfolio of 16 hotels throughout Oregon, California, Washington and Idaho, is planning a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for fall 2019.
Located at 800 4th St., the hotel draws design inspiration from downtown Paso Robles.
It includes extended stay and pet-friendly rooms with an on-site bistro, fitness center, electric vehicle chargers, and a pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. The new hotel also offers meeting spaces and on-site catering for business gatherings and events.
Its design gives a nod to the local agrarian history of Paso Robles. The hotel’s location was once home to the California Almond Orchards processing plant, which was operational when Paso Robles was known as the “Almond Capital of the World.”
