Inogen, a Goleta-based medical technology company that makes portable oxygen concentrators, announced April 7 that it has hired Georg Parr as executive vice president and chief commercial officer. Byron Myers, a member of Inogen’s founding team and the current executive vice president for marketing, will step down on June 4, as will Arron Retterer, the company’s executive vice president for sales.

Parr, 50, was previously executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Becton Dickinson and Co., the same company that previously employed Inogen’s new CEO, Nabil Shabshab. Parr will join Inogen for a transition period starting April 12.
