Come celebrate Central Coast businesses!

IN THIS ARTICLE

Central Coast Best Places to Work is one way that Pacific Coast Business Times takes the pulse of the workplace across the region. We take a keen interest in knowing which organizations are performing best for their employees, and what those employers are doing that others can learn from.

In 2023 we added a new wrinkle to our Central Coast Best Places to Work survey, asking a few targeted questions about how corporate culture has evolved in the post-pandemic era. We’re pleased to share some of them in our annual Central Coast Best Places to Work special report, which serves as a snapshot about the workplace when it comes to culture, benefits, perks and community involvement in our region.

This year’s survey was taken by 1,100 people with jobs based in the region. It included questions that asked respondents to grade their employers on a scale of 1 to 5. To arrive at our Best Places to Work we averaged the total scores for every response.

We are presenting the results in two separate lists. One for employers who recorded 10 or more survey results. The second, called Companies to Watch, includes employers who submitted fewer than 9 responses.

Every company on this year’s list is an incredible place to work. The differences between scores are very small, as every company that saw surveys submitted had very satisfied employees — in fact, every company had an average score of better than 4 out of 5 on the survey questions, where 5 was the
highest score.

We will be celebrating everyone on this list at an outdoor event at the Santa Barbara Zoo at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 22. For tickets, visit pacbiztimes.com/events, click the image above or email [email protected]. Find the section here.
