The Pacific Coast Business Times created the Spirit of Small Business Awards in 2003 to honor small business leaders along the Central Coast. We partnered with the U.S. Small Business Administration to show off the region’s best and brightest, and over the years, we’ve given out 174 awards to small business advocates, pioneers, families and people changing not just their worlds but the world.
As like previous years, this year’s report contains profiles about our winners and our resource guide for small business owners looking for assistance, advice and answers.
Our award winners for 2023 include a mom who wanted to do better for her family, a local architectural firm shaping the look of the Central Coast, a program dedicated to giving children a taste of what it means to run a business, a family-owned packing and shipping company that’s got 50 years of history and three generations working for it, a market where a community of small business owners can grow and a software firm helping other businesses save the planet and stay in compliance.
The 2023 winners are:
- JR Bookkeeping
- DHMA Architects
- Santa Maria Young Entrepreneurs Program
- Pablo’s Produce
- Mujeres Maker’s Market
- Wildnote
The full report can be found here.
To honor both this year’s award winners and every award winner we’ve recognized, the Pacific Coast Business Times is holding a luncheon at the Ritz-Carlton Bacara on August 17th. For more information, including how to get tickets, please go to pacbiztimes.com/events.
