BuenaVentura struggles toward finish line
The complicated legal battle between Banco BuenaVentura and its landlord took another strained step forward as lawyers traded barbs at a hearing on Sept. 14.
During the proceedings, Judge Henry Walsh wondered aloud at the “hidden agendas” in the “hotly contested” dispute surrounding the failed Oxnard bank.
He’s not the only one. The legal fog surrounding the Hispanic bank has shrouded the motives of almost everyone involved.
