Breaking news: Deckers on the look-out for new headquarters
Goleta-based shoemaker Deckers Outdoor Corp. is looking for new digs in the Santa Barbara area.
Deckers — producer of the Ugg boot, the Teva sandal and Simple brand of shoes — said Jan. 11 that it plans to move its corporate headquarters sometime in 2012. Currrently, the company is located on South Fairview Avenue in Goleta, near the Santa Barbara Municipal Airport.
“A new facility would allow Deckers to address important issues such as growth, recruiting, amenities and corporate image,” Zohar Ziv, chief operating officer of the company, said in a release.
Deckers said it has tapped CresaPartners, a national real estate brokerage firm, to help it find a new headquarters.
Deckers stock was down 2.4 percent to $109.57 on Jan. 11. The company made a $48 million profit for the first nine months of 2009.
