Teledyne assists with chemical defense

IN THIS ARTICLE

Thousand Oaks-based defense conglomerate Teledyne Technologies said March 5 that one of its companies won piece of a five-year $485 million support contract to help upgrade the Defense Department’s chemical and biological defense equipment.

Huntsville, Ala.-based Teledyne Brown Engineering did not disclose the precise value of the deal but called it a “major task order contract.” Teledyne is sharing the contract with nine other winners who will also provide the support.

Potential customers are the nation’s front-line performers in defense against chemical, biological radiological, nuclear and explosives weapons of mass destruction, Teledyne said in news release.
