Antioch University provost resigning due to health concerns

William Flores, provost and vice chancellor of Antioch University Santa Barbara, is stepping down as of June 30 due to health concerns, according to a June 28 news release.
Flores, who will rejoin his family in Houston, Texas, said, “I have enjoyed my time at Antioch University and am blessed to have worked with the people of this fantastic community. I’m immensely proud of our students and faculty.”
He added, “We have accomplished a great deal this past year at Antioch, during a time of overall change in higher education and in university leadership. Together we have redoubled our efforts to serve students in innovative ways, launching new programs and supporting the existing academic cornerstones in education, psychology, and business which elevate our community.”
Barbara Lipinski will be take over as interim provost on July 1.
“I have great respect for Antioch University, its mission and its leadership,” said Flores. “I am confident that AUSB is well positioned to continue to grow and thrive.”
