Camarillo hospital puts ‘Camarillo’ in its name
St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital has changed its name to St. John’s Hospital Camarillo, the hospital’s nonprofit parent, Dignity Health, announced July 6.
Dignity said the hospital is changing its name to “better identify the hospital with the community it serves.” Hospital leaders don’t expect the name change to impact hospital operations or patient care.
“It is a privilege to serve Camarillo residents,” Darren W. Lee, the president and CEO of St. John’s Hospital Camarillo and St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, said in a news release. “While we are proud of the St. John’s Pleasant Valley Hospital name, we are motivated to build on our legacy of healing as St. John’s Hospital Camarillo — a name that is representative of the community we serve.”
