Lead, follow or get out of the way in the Tri-Counties
Lee Iacocca famously said that when it comes to business, you either lead, follow or get out of the way.
And in the Tri-Counties these days, there is plenty of evidence that the former Chrysler executive had it just about right.
In the lead category, put down Community Memorial Hospital, or CMH, in Ventura. This month, the venerable private-nonprofit institution is taking the wraps off a major revamp that will create the way for a 21st century facility at its mid-town campus.
CMH is not the first hospital to unveil a big makeover. Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria and others all have raised hundreds of millions of dollars to meet California’s tough new seismic standards.
