The CEO of Ventura-based Clean Diesel Technologies has stepped down after a year on the job, a move that likely reflects a faltering relationship with Italian tire-maker Pirelli. In a separate announcement, the company said it has amended its ethics code in light of a $1.9 million fine from federal labor regulators over a whistleblower complaint.
Ventura-based Clean Diesel Technologies said Dec. 10 that CEO and President R. Craig Breese has resigned to “pursue other opportunities.” He will remain at his post until Jan. 8 and the company has created an interim office of the chief executive to replace him. Breese was also a member of the board of directors.
Clean Diesel said Nov. 12 that it and the Italian auto parts firm had decided to cancel a project launched earlier this year that brought Clean Diesel’s catalytic converter coatings to Europe.
