On November 1, 2024, Paul Wieckowski, President & CEO of Frank Schipper Construction Co., stepped
down from his role as President to transition intothe Chief Operating Officer/ General Manager as he
approaches retirement. In his 37 years with the company, Paul has been an integral part of Schipper
Construction. He has completed several high-profile projects in Santa Barbara, such as the Lobero
Theatre Renovation, the Australian Walkabout Exhibit at the Zoo, a new Mausoleum at the Old Mission
Santa Barbara, and a variety of other projects in town. Erwin Villegas, who has been with the company for
over 26 years and served as their Vice President for more than six years, has been promoted to
President. Erwin has also contributed significantly to the community, having served as President of the
Santa Barbara Contractors Association, Chairman of the Associated General Contractors of California
Tri-Counties District, and Trustee & Board Member at the Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.
Additionally, Tyler Hasspacher, their Senior Project Manager, has been promoted to Vice President. Tyler
has been with the company for several years and holds a master’s degree in construction management
from East Carolina University.
